View a task’s lifecycle timeline

Review a task’s full lifecycle, including header details, content, connections, execution information and the activity timeline at the bottom of the task view.

Steps

Step 1: Open the task detail view

From your task list, select a task to open its full detail view, showing the header with the task title, status and key metadata.

Step 2: Review the main task content

Scroll through the Task Content section to read the task description, progress and any core information captured for this task.

Step 3: Check task connections

In the Connections section, review how this task links to other work items, dependencies or related records to understand its wider context.

Step 4: Inspect task execution details

In the Execution section, confirm how and when the task is being carried out, including any execution-related data surfaced for the task.

Step 5: Scroll to the lifecycle timeline at the bottom

Scroll to the bottom of the task view to reach the lifecycle timeline, which is placed beneath all other sections on the page.

Step 6: Review recent activity and status changes

In the lifecycle timeline, review the chronological list of activities, including who changed the task status, when it changed and the previous versus new values.

Step 7: Refresh the activity timeline data

Use the refresh option in the activity feed to reload the shared activity data so that the timeline at the bottom reflects the latest task updates.
