Use the Homepage Assistant to plan and run tasks
Use the Homepage Assistant to discover automation tasks, chat with an AI assistant, and run or review task executions for your project.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Homepage Assistant
From your project home, scroll to the assistant section and confirm the assistant panel has loaded instead of the placeholder skeleton.
Step 2: Start a new assistant conversation
In the assistant chat panel, place your cursor in the message box, type a question about automating work in your project, and select the send icon to start a new thread.
Step 3: Browse and search available tasks
Use the task search bar or open the browse tasks drawer to filter, search, and select from the catalogue of available automation tasks recommended for your project.
Step 4: Run a recommended or searched task
When you choose a task, review the task details shown in the execution modal, complete any required form fields, and confirm to start the task execution.
Step 5: Monitor task execution and view details
While a task is running, follow its progress in the assistant area or open the execution detail modal to see live status updates, outputs, and any warnings.
Step 6: Restore or reopen a previous execution
From the minimised task widget or recent runs list, select a previous execution to restore its details, continue reviewing outputs, or act on the results.
Step 7: Use recent runs and schedules
In the recent runs panel, review your most recent executions, open their details, and, where available, promote a successful run to a schedule to automate it.
Step 8: View and switch between conversation history
Open the assistant history sidebar to see past chat threads, select a thread to load its conversation, and switch between different discussions with the assistant.
Step 9: Use Quick Project Setup for empty projects
For new or empty projects, select the Quick Project Setup tile in the assistant hub to run the guided setup task and populate your project with initial configuration.
