Review the programme overview and critical path health

Use the Programme Overview widget to review key schedule metrics, task progress, milestones, and critical path health for your project.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Programme Overview widget

Navigate to the dashboard that includes the Programme Overview widget and confirm it has loaded for the correct project and data date.

Step 2: Check overall programme context

At the top of the widget, review the project name, current data date, and the visible date range to understand which part of the programme you are assessing.

Step 3: Review critical path health status

Look at the critical path health section to see whether the programme is on track, at risk, or delayed, along with the available float in days and the number of risk items.

Step 4: Assess overall progress indicators

Use the progress bar and summary badges to understand overall percentage complete, distribution of planned, in-progress, and completed tasks, and any key schedule health indicators.

Step 5: Inspect key tasks and milestones

Scroll through the listed tasks and milestones to check their start and end dates, duration, completion percentage, and whether they are on the critical path or flagged as milestones.

Step 6: Identify risks and follow-up actions

Focus on tasks and milestones with warning or error indicators, such as delayed critical path activities or items with low float, and note where follow-up actions or re-planning may be required.
