Use the assistant chat panel

Use the assistant chat panel to ask questions, run quick actions, approve automated tasks, and submit extra details the assistant needs.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the assistant chat panel

Open the assistant chat panel from your dashboard so you can start a new conversation with the project assistant.

Step 2: Start a new conversation

Type your question or instruction into the message box at the bottom of the panel and select Send to message the assistant.

Step 3: Use quick actions to get started faster

When there is no conversation yet, choose one of the suggested quick actions such as "What tasks are due this week?" to let the assistant draft a response for you.

Step 4: Browse the task catalogue from the chat

Select the option to browse tasks from within the chat panel to open the task catalogue drawer and find available automated tasks.

Step 5: Attach supporting files to your message

If the attachment button is visible in the composer, use it to attach relevant documents or files before sending your message to the assistant.

Step 6: Review and approve suggested actions

When the assistant proposes actions, review each confirmation card, then select Approve to run the action or Reject to cancel it.

Step 7: Provide additional task input when requested

If the assistant displays a task input form, fill in the required fields and submit the form so the assistant can continue with the task.

Review the assistant's formatted reply, including lists, tables, and links, and open any relevant links to view further detail in the app.

When a message includes a Copy button, select it to copy the link to your clipboard and share it with your team or paste it into another tool.

Step 10: Expand or collapse the chat panel

Use the expand or collapse control in the chat header to switch between a compact view and a maximised view while you work.
