Refresh a dashboard widget

Use the widget header controls to manually refresh data and work with widget-specific actions on your dashboard.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Locate the widget on your dashboard​

On the dashboard, find the widget whose data you want to update and hover over its header to view the title and icon.

Step 2: Check whether the dashboard is in edit mode​

Look for any edit layout controls; if you are editing the dashboard layout, exit edit mode so that the refresh button becomes available.

Step 3: Review available widget actions​

In the top-right of the widget header, identify any action buttons shown to the left of the refresh icon, such as filters or widget-specific controls.

Step 4: Use the widget toolbar filters​

If the widget shows filter chips or toggles under the title, adjust these toolbar options to refine the data shown in the widget body.

Step 5: Refresh the widget data​

Select the refresh button in the top-right of the widget header; the refresh icon spins while the widget reloads its data.
