Review widget metric tiles and summary counts
Use the metric tiles and inline counts to quickly understand key totals and overdue items in your dashboard widgets.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Identify the neutral metric tile for overall totals
Locate the neutral metric tile in your widget; it shows the main count in the accent colour above a clear label such as "Total", helping you see overall volume at a glance.

Step 2: Check tiles with conditional warning icons
Find tiles labelled for risk-based metrics such as "Overdue"; when the value is zero, the icon row is still reserved so the tile layout stays stable even though the warning icon is hidden.

Step 3: Monitor overdue counts when warnings appear
When there are overdue items, look for tiles that switch to a warning style with a coloured background, bold count and a warning icon next to the label, so you can immediately see items that need attention.

Step 4: Read inline summary metrics within a widget
Use inline metrics, which display a bold count followed by a label such as "Total" or "Overdue", to understand key figures directly within summary strips without opening detailed views.

Step 5: Distinguish critical figures using colour
Note how specific inline and tile metrics change colour, for example to red for overdue counts, so that you can quickly separate normal volumes from items that require action.
