Manage your dashboard layout
Use the dashboard toolbar to switch into edit mode, add or reset widgets, and save or reuse layout presets at different dashboard levels.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the dashboard toolbar
Navigate to any dashboard where the toolbar appears at the top, confirming you can see options such as Edit, Add widget, Save, Presets, and Reset.

Step 2: Switch into edit mode
Click the Edit button to enable edit mode so you can modify the current dashboard layout and widgets.

Step 3: Add a new widget
Select the Add widget button (with the plus icon) to open the widget chooser and insert a new widget into your dashboard.

Step 4: Adjust role variant
Use the role variant selector to change the current role variant, updating the layout to match what that role sees.

Step 5: Change dashboard level
Use the level controls or breadcrumbs (for example organisation or project level) to switch to a different dashboard level if it is available.

Step 6: Save and exit your layout changes
After arranging widgets as needed, click the Save button to apply your changes and leave edit mode while keeping the new layout.

Step 7: Save your layout as a preset
Open the Save layout option, provide a name and details, and confirm to store the current configuration as a reusable layout preset.

Step 8: Apply a layout preset
Open the Presets menu, choose a saved layout preset, and apply it so the dashboard instantly updates to match the chosen configuration.

Step 9: Reset the dashboard layout
If a reset option is available, click Reset to revert the dashboard to its inherited or default layout, discarding local customisations.

Step 10: Cancel editing without saving
If you change your mind while in edit mode, use the cancel or exit option to leave edit mode and discard any unsaved layout changes.
