Review forward look open risks
Use the Forward Look Open Risks widget to review, filter, and refresh open risk items across your projects.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Forward Look Open Risks widget
Navigate to the relevant dashboard and locate the "Forward Look Open Risks" card, which summarises open risks, counts, and key indicators.

Step 2: Review the open risks summary
At the top of the widget, review the total number of open risks, proactive versus reactive counts, stage and category breakdowns, and high-likelihood or high-impact indicators to understand overall exposure.

Step 3: Scan the list of individual risk items
Scroll through the risk list to see each item’s reference, title, event nature, type and category, associated project and stage, likelihood, total impact, expected value, proximity, and risk owner.

Step 4: Identify high-priority risks
Use the visual cues, such as alert icons and highlighted likelihood or impact values, to quickly spot high-likelihood, high-impact, or imminent risks that may require immediate attention.

Step 5: Filter the visible risks (where available)
Use the filter controls on the widget header, such as event type or category filters, to narrow the list to the most relevant open risks for your review.

Step 6: Refresh the risk data
Select the refresh button in the widget header to reload the latest open risks data, ensuring you are working from the most current information.

Step 7: Interpret empty or error states
If the widget shows an empty state, skeleton loading state, or an error alert, follow any on-screen guidance or try refreshing to resolve temporary issues.
