Group widget items by project
Use the "Group by project" control in dashboard widgets to switch between a single flat list of items and items grouped under each project, including unassigned work.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the widget that supports project grouping
Navigate to your dashboard and locate a widget that lists items such as tasks or issues and offers a "Group by project" option; initially, items appear in one flat list without project headings.

Step 2: Turn on "Group by project" to see sections per project
Enable the "Group by project" control; the list is reorganised into sections with a heading for each project, showing the project name and the number of items in brackets (for example Northgate (2)).

Step 3: Review items in the "No Project" section
In grouped view, check the "No Project" section to see items that are not currently linked to any project so you can decide whether they should be assigned.

Step 4: Confirm grouped items match their projects
Verify that each item appears under the correct project heading and that grouped sections only show items belonging to that project, not the entire ungrouped list.

Step 5: Switch back to a single flat list if needed
Turn off the "Group by project" control to return to a single consolidated list of all items without project headings or per-project counts.
