Review weather alerts and work suitability
Use the Weather Alerts widget to understand current and upcoming weather issues, how they affect site work, and which activities remain suitable.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Weather Alerts widget on the dashboard
Navigate to the PlanOps dashboard and locate the Weather Alerts widget, which shows the current location and an at-a-glance status of whether any weather issues are expected.
Step 2: Review active formal weather alerts
In the Formal alerts section, read each alert card to see the alert type, severity badge, validity period, detailed description, impact on work, and any recommended actions your team should take.
Step 3: Check upcoming forecast advisories by day
Look at the daily forecast advisories list to see icons and labels for conditions such as rain, wind or storms, along with precipitation probability, wind speed and temperature highs and lows for Today, Tomorrow and later in the week.
Step 4: Identify days with potential weather-related issues
Use the colour cues and icons in the advisory cards to spot days that exceed thresholds for rain, wind or temperature, so you can adjust labour, deliveries and critical tasks accordingly.
Step 5: Assess work suitability for key site activities
Review the Work suitability section to see a list of activities with clear indicators of whether each is currently suitable or impacted by the forecast conditions, helping you reprioritise the schedule.
Step 6: Confirm there are no blocking issues
When the widget indicates that there are no significant alerts or issues, use this as confirmation that planned works can proceed as scheduled, noting any minor advisories that may still require monitoring.
