Configure a register-based dashboard widget
Configure a custom dashboard widget that visualises project register data as a chart, metric card or table.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the widget configuration panel
From your dashboard, select the register widget you want to edit to open the configuration panel for that widget.

Step 2: Choose the register data source
In the configuration panel, pick the register you want to use (for example workspace items, temporary works, plant, risks, documents or people and companies) so the widget knows where to pull its data from.

Step 3: Select the visualisation type
Choose how you want the data to be displayed by selecting a visualisation type such as metric card, chart or table.

Step 4: Configure chart options
If you select a chart, choose the chart type and layout options so that the widget presents your data in the most useful format for your dashboard.

Step 5: Apply filters and sorting
Add any filters and sorting rules to focus the widget on the most relevant records and order them in a meaningful way.

Step 6: Preview the widget
Use the live preview in the configuration panel to check how your chosen data, visualisation and settings will appear on the dashboard.

Step 7: Save and place the widget
Save your configuration so the widget is added or updated on your dashboard, then adjust its position and size to fit your layout.
