Review programme delay indicators

Use the Delay Indicator widget to understand programme health, identify delays and at-risk activities, and review critical path status.

Steps

Step 1: Open the programme dashboard

Navigate to the programme section of the PlanOps dashboard and locate the Delay Indicator widget card alongside other programme widgets.

Step 2: Check overall critical path health

At the top of the widget, review the critical path health status badge (for example on track, at risk, or delayed) and the displayed float in days to understand current schedule resilience.

Step 3: Review delay risk metrics

Look at the summary metrics area in the card content where key figures such as the number of risk items and overall delay indicators are shown to gauge the scale of potential impact.

Step 4: Inspect delayed and at-risk tasks

Scroll through the listed tasks to identify those flagged with warning or error icons, focusing on tasks that are critical, milestones, or have low remaining float.

Step 5: Check task dates and progress

For each highlighted task, compare its planned start and end dates, duration in days, and percentage complete to see where work is behind plan or approaching a critical threshold.

Step 6: Review milestone status

Locate milestones in the widget, noting which are pending or completed and whether any critical milestone dates have slipped beyond the current programme view range.

Step 7: Use badges and icons to prioritise actions

Use status badges, critical path flags, and warning icons to prioritise which activities to follow up on with your delivery team to protect key dates.

Step 8: Refresh the indicator data

When needed, use the refresh control on or near the widget card to reload the latest programme data and ensure the delay indicators reflect the most recent updates.
