View items grouped by project in dashboard widgets

Use the "Group by Project" control in dashboard widgets to switch between a flat list of items and items grouped by project.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open your dashboard widget​

Navigate to your PlanOps dashboard and locate a cross-project widget that lists items, such as tasks or activities, in a single flat list.

Step 2: Locate the "Group by Project" control​

In the widget's filter row, find the small vertical divider at the end of the filters, followed by the "Group by Project" toggle control.

Step 3: Switch on grouping by project​

Select the "Group by Project" toggle to turn grouping on; the widget will rearrange the flat list into sections, one per project.

Step 4: Review each project section​

In grouped view, scan the per-project sections, each with a project header showing the project name and the number of items it contains, followed by the relevant items.

Step 5: Return to a flat cross-project list​

Turn the "Group by Project" toggle off again to collapse the per-project sections back into a single combined list across all projects.
