Understand programme widget status cards

Learn how the dashboard widgets display loading errors and empty states so you can interpret programme data correctly.

Steps​

Step 1: Recognise when a widget fails to load​

When a programme widget cannot load its data, it shows a red card with a warning icon, the widget title, and a message starting with "Failed to load widget" followed by the technical error text.

Step 2: Retry loading a widget after an error​

If a widget shows an error, select the "Retry" link in the red card to request the latest data again; the widget will attempt to reload and update its content.

Step 3: Identify when a widget has no data to show​

When a widget loads successfully but there is nothing useful to display, it appears as a neutral card with an icon, the widget title, and a short explanatory message in the centre.

Step 4: Decide what to do when a widget is empty​

Use the message in the empty card to decide your next action, such as adjusting filters, checking upstream data sources, or confirming that no programme activity is expected for that widget yet.
