View your budget and programme summary

Review overall budget health or programme status at a glance from the Budget Summary widget.

Steps

Step 1: Open the dashboard with the Budget Summary widget

Navigate to the relevant PlanOps dashboard where the Budget Summary widget is displayed alongside your other financial and programme widgets.

Step 2: Review overall budget status

At the top of the widget, check the total budget, amount spent, remaining budget and the health indicator showing whether you are on track, at risk or over budget.

Step 3: Check variance and forecast at completion

Use the variance values and percentage, together with the forecast-at-completion figure, to understand how your final cost is projected to compare with the approved budget.

Step 4: Monitor spend progress

Look at the progress bar to see how much of the budget has been spent so far and how this compares to the remaining budget in your selected currency.

Step 5: View programme fallback information

When detailed budget data is not available, use the programme view to track critical path status, float, risk items, task completion and upcoming milestones.

Step 6: Refresh the widget data

Use the refresh control on the widget to reload the latest financial or programme figures from the underlying data source.
