Monitor intelligent unit (IU) usage
Track how many intelligent units (IUs) your team has used in the current period, understand usage trends, and identify potential overage risks.

Steps
Step 1: Open the IU usage widget
Navigate to the financial section of your PlanOps dashboard and locate the IU Usage widget card, which shows an overview of your current IU consumption and allocation.
Step 2: Review current period consumption
Check the main usage indicator to see how many IUs have been used versus the period limit, including the percentage bar and the remaining days in the current billing period.
Step 3: Inspect daily usage trends
Look at the daily usage section or chart to understand how IU consumption is distributed across recent days, helping you spot spikes or unusual patterns.
Step 4: Analyse usage by task type
Review the usage-by-task breakdown to see which task categories are consuming the most IUs, using the icons and figures to compare different task types.
Step 5: Check projected usage and overage risk
View the projected usage and overage indicator to understand whether you are likely to exceed your IU limit before the end of the period, and plan any corrective actions.
Step 6: Review estimated time saved
Refer to the time-saved metric to see the estimated number of hours saved by using IUs over the current period, helping you assess the value delivered.
Step 7: Refresh IU usage data
Use the refresh control on the widget to reload the latest IU usage data from the server and ensure you are viewing up-to-date figures.
