Review upcoming document expiries

Use the Document Expiry widget to quickly see which documents are nearing their expiry date, who owns them, and when they will expire so you can follow up and keep documentation up to date.

Steps

Step 1: Locate the Document Expiry widget on the dashboard

Open the dashboard and scroll until you find the card that shows a calendar clock icon and a title or heading related to document expiry, listing documents with their expiry dates and owners.

Step 2: Check loading or error status

When the widget first appears, wait for any loading skeletons or placeholders to be replaced with the list of documents; if an error message is shown instead, note that the data could not be loaded and may require a refresh or support request.

Step 3: Scan the list of expiring documents

Review the documents displayed in the widget, noting each document’s name, type, owner and expiry date so you can understand which items are due for renewal or review.

Step 4: Interpret expiry status indicators

Look at the coloured status indicators or badges next to each document to understand how soon each one will expire, giving priority to those marked as urgent or at higher risk of expiry.

Step 5: Refresh the document expiry data

Click the refresh button on the widget (showing a circular refresh icon) to reload the most up-to-date expiry information from the system whenever you suspect the data may be out of date.
