Review temporary works items and inspection status

View a summary of all temporary works items, check their status and risk levels, and identify any overdue inspections.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Temporary Works items widget

On the dashboard, locate the Temporary Works items widget card, which displays a header with the Temporary Works icon, title and a brief summary of the total items and active items.

Step 2: Review the overall Temporary Works summary

At the top of the widget, review the summary figures showing total items, active items, breakdown by status, type, risk level and design check category, including a count of overdue inspections where applicable.

Step 3: Filter Temporary Works items by project

Use the project filter control (showing a folder or project icon) to focus the list on items for a specific project, helping you manage Temporary Works in context.

Step 4: Inspect item details in the list

Scroll through the items list to see each Temporary Works entry with its reference, type, description, status, risk level, design check category, project name, and key dates such as registered, design approved, erected and next inspection due.

Step 5: Identify high risk and overdue inspections

Use the coloured status, risk and inspection indicators to quickly spot high-risk Temporary Works and any items with overdue inspections highlighted in the list.

Step 6: Refresh the Temporary Works data

Click the refresh button with the circular arrow icon to retrieve the latest Temporary Works information from the source system and update the summary and list.

Step 7: Understand loading and error messages

When data is loading, skeleton placeholders appear in the widget; if there is an error retrieving data, an alert message is shown explaining that the Temporary Works list could not be loaded.
