Review critical path summary
View a high-level summary of your programme’s critical path, including float, number of critical activities, upcoming milestones, and overall risk status.

Steps
Step 1: Open the critical path summary widget
Navigate to the programme dashboard and locate the Critical Path Summary widget, which shows a card with critical path indicators and icons.
Step 2: Check the overall risk indicator
Review the coloured risk banner and icon (such as a tick, warning, or cross) to understand whether your critical path is healthy, at risk, or critical.
Step 3: Review total float on the critical path
Look at the total float value in days to see how much schedule flexibility is available before the critical path impacts your key dates.
Step 4: Check the number of activities on the critical path
Review the count of activities currently on the critical path to understand how many tasks are directly influencing your completion date.
Step 5: Identify the next critical milestone
Find the next critical milestone section to see the milestone name, target date, and days remaining so you can focus on the most time-sensitive item.
Step 6: Refresh the widget data
Use the widget’s refresh control (if available) to reload the latest critical path data from the programme schedule.
