Review events overview and risk indicators
Use the Events Overview widget to understand event volumes, categories, stages and risk indicators across your projects.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the dashboard containing the Events Overview widget
Navigate to the PlanOps dashboard page where the Events Overview widget is available and confirm the card is visible in the widgets grid. If data is still loading you will see skeleton placeholders instead of figures.

Step 2: Check the total number of events and proactive vs reactive breakdown
At the top of the widget, review the total number of events alongside the counts for proactive and reactive events to understand how issues are being managed across your projects.

Step 3: Review events by type and category
Look at the event breakdown by type and by category, using the coloured indicators to see which categories such as safety, programme, cost or quality are generating the most activity.

Step 4: Assess events by stage in the lifecycle
Examine the stage distribution to see how many events are identified, assessed, mitigating, under monitoring or closed, helping you judge overall progress on managing events.

Step 5: Evaluate impact, expected value and risk indicators
Use the total estimated impact, total expected value and counts of high-likelihood, high-impact and imminent events to prioritise attention on the highest-risk areas.

Step 6: Refresh the widget data
Select the refresh control on the widget to request the latest events summary from the backend and update the figures and charts shown.
