Configure a dashboard widget

Adjust how an existing dashboard widget looks and where it pulls its data from.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the widget configuration panel​

Select the widget on your dashboard and choose the settings icon to open the configuration panel in a dialog.

Step 2: Choose the widget visualisation type​

Use the Visualisation options to switch between metric card, chart, table, list, map, calendar, feed, document preview, AI summary or Gantt segment, depending on how you want the data displayed.

Step 3: Configure the widget data source​

In the Data or Source section, pick the register or data source, adjust any filters, and choose fields so the widget shows the right information.

Step 4: Adjust refresh interval and behaviour​

Set how often the widget should refresh using the refresh interval options, or select Never if the data does not need to update automatically.

Step 5: Refine layout and display options​

Use the layout and display options to configure chart type, grouping, sorting, register layout and other presentation details.

Step 6: Customise colours and style​

Pick a colour scheme and any additional styling options so the widget matches your dashboard’s visual standards.

Step 7: Control alerts and visibility​

Enable or disable notifications, visibility toggles and any feed or preview options to control who sees the widget and when they are alerted.

Step 8: Save or cancel your changes​

Select Save to apply the new configuration to the widget, or Cancel to close the panel without making any changes.
