View site weather and work suitability

Use the Site Weather widget to review current weather conditions, a short-term forecast, and suitability for key construction activities on your project site.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the dashboard with the Site Weather widget

Navigate to the PlanOps dashboard page that contains the Site Weather widget; the widget will appear as a card showing the project location, current conditions, and upcoming forecast once data has loaded.

Step 2: Review current weather conditions for the site

In the top section of the widget, check the location name, temperature, feels-like temperature, and current weather condition, along with key details such as humidity, wind speed and direction, and precipitation to understand immediate on-site conditions.

Step 3: Check work suitability indicators

Look at the work suitability section of the widget to see at-a-glance status indicators for crane operations, concrete pours, roofing, and excavation so you can quickly judge whether conditions are suitable for planned activities.

Step 4: Review the short-term weather forecast

In the forecast section, scan the daily summary cards showing the day, expected high and low temperatures, and conditions icon for each upcoming day to plan site activities around expected weather changes.

Step 5: Refresh the weather data

If conditions may have changed, select the refresh button on the widget header to request the latest weather data; the widget will briefly show a loading state while updated information is retrieved.
