This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Locate the Safety Metrics widget on the dashboard

Open the compliance section of your PlanOps dashboard and scroll until you see the Safety Metrics widget, which shows safety-related indicators such as incidents, near misses, and observations in a single card.

Locate the Safety Metrics widget on the dashboard

Step 2: Review days since the last incident

Check the days-since-last-incident figure at the top of the widget to quickly understand how long it has been since the most recent recordable safety incident on your project.

Review days since the last incident

Look at the near-miss reports for the current month, including the total count and its trend indicator (up, down, or stable), to see whether near-miss reporting is increasing or decreasing.

Check near-miss reports and trends

Review the number of safety observations recorded and their trend direction to assess whether proactive safety behaviour is improving or declining over time.

Monitor safety observations and trends

Step 5: Examine TRIR and LTIR performance

If available, review the Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) metrics and their trend icons to understand how your project’s incident rates are changing.

Examine TRIR and LTIR performance

Step 6: Confirm safety meetings and last meeting date

If shown, check how many safety meetings have been held this month and the date of the last safety meeting to ensure regular engagement with site teams.
