Monitor temporary works status pipeline

Use the Temporary Works Status Pipeline widget to see every temporary works item by status, risk level and project, and keep the view up to date.

Steps

Step 1: Open the dashboard with the Temporary Works Status Pipeline widget

Navigate to your PlanOps dashboard and locate the Temporary Works Status Pipeline widget card, which shows a horizontal set of status columns for your temporary works items.

Step 2: Review the overall pipeline summary

At the top of the widget, check the header and total count of temporary works items to understand the overall volume currently tracked in the pipeline.

Step 3: Scan items by status across the pipeline

Look across the ordered status columns (for example Registered, Design In Progress, Design Approved, Erected, In Use, Struck, Removed) to see how many items sit in each stage of the lifecycle.

Step 4: Identify status categories using colour coding

Use the coloured status indicators for each column (such as blue for Registered, amber for Design In Progress, green for Design Approved, purple for Erected, teal for In Use, and grey tones for Struck and Removed) to quickly distinguish different stages at a glance.

Step 5: Inspect individual temporary works items

Within a chosen status column, review each item card to see its reference, description, temporary works type, associated project name, and any inspection or scheduling context that helps you understand its current situation.

Step 6: Assess risk levels using the coloured risk dots

For each item, use the small coloured risk indicator dot (green for low, amber for medium, orange for high, red for critical) to prioritise attention on higher risk temporary works.

Step 7: Spot overdue inspections

Look for visual flags or highlighting on items marked as overdue inspections so you can quickly identify where action is required to bring inspections back on schedule.

Step 8: Filter mentally by project using project names

Use the project name displayed for each item to mentally group items by project, so you can focus on specific sites or packages when assessing workload and risk.

Step 9: Refresh the pipeline data

Click the Refresh button in the widget header, which uses the refresh icon, to reload the latest temporary works data and ensure you are viewing up-to-date status and risk information.

Step 10: Understand loading or error states

If the widget is still loading, a skeleton placeholder layout appears, and if there is a problem retrieving data an alert with an error icon is shown so you know the pipeline content is temporarily unavailable.
