Manage project notification settings

Adjust how you and your team receive notifications for a specific project, including muting all alerts and overriding global preferences by channel.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the project notification settings​

Navigate to the settings area for your selected project and open the Project Notification Settings panel to view all available notification categories and channels.

Step 2: Review project-level notification status​

Check the overall project notification status, including whether notifications are currently muted, if any overrides are applied, and whether any loading or error messages are displayed.

Step 3: Mute or unmute all notifications for this project​

Use the main mute control to turn all notifications for the current project on or off; confirm that a success message appears and that the mute status updates accordingly.

Step 4: Switch between email, browser, and mobile channels​

Use the channel tabs (such as Email, Browser, and Mobile) to switch between notification channels and see how each category is configured for the selected channel.

Step 5: Change notification preferences for a specific type​

For an individual notification type, toggle the switch in the active channel tab to enable or disable notifications for that type on email, browser, or mobile, creating a project-level override when changed.

Step 6: Reset a single notification type to global settings​

For a notification type that has been overridden, use the reset or remove override option to discard the project-specific setting and return it to the global preference.

Step 7: Reset all project notifications to global defaults​

Use the reset-all control to remove every project-level override at once so that all notification types follow the global settings again; confirm any prompts and wait for the reset to complete.

Step 8: Refresh notification settings​

Use the refresh option if settings appear out of date or an error is shown, reloading the effective preferences and override status for the project.
