Manage your general user settings
Update your personal profile details, contact information, sidebar preferences and social links in the General Settings panel.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the General Settings panel
Navigate to the General Settings section from the application settings area to view your current profile details, contact information and layout preferences.

Step 2: Review your profile information
Check your avatar, name, job title, organisation details and location as loaded from your current user profile to confirm what is stored in the system.

Step 3: Edit your basic details
Enable editing mode and update fields such as your full name, role, company name, bio and any other visible profile fields, with changes stored in the pending edited profile.

Step 4: Update your email address
Use the email field associated with the Mail icon to request an email update; the system will trigger the handleUpdateEmail flow via your authentication provider if required.

Step 5: Update your phone number
Enter a new phone number in the phone field and apply the change so that handleUpdatePhone updates your contact details across the account.

Step 6: Manage your social media links
Add or change URLs for supported platforms (such as website, LinkedIn or X) using the social link inputs so they are stored in your social_links profile settings.

Step 7: Adjust theme and sidebar preferences
Use the switches to toggle between light and dark theme and to expand or collapse the sidebar, updating your profile_settings and sidebar mode.

Step 8: Save or cancel your changes
Select Save to apply all edited fields via the updateUser action, or choose Cancel to discard unsaved changes and restore the last saved profile values.
