Configure CDE sync mode
Choose how your connected CDE synchronises documents into PlanOps, including how much history to import and when new data appears.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Review available sync modes
Open the sync settings step of the CDE connection wizard and review the list of available sync modes, including what each mode does and how it handles document history.

Step 2: Compare sync behaviour and volume impact
For each mode, read the detailed behaviour description and check the estimated information units (IU) usage against your organisation’s remaining IU balance to understand the impact of your choice.

Step 3: Select the appropriate sync mode
Click the card for the sync mode that best fits your project needs, such as syncing everything for full history or limiting to current or new documents to reduce data volume.

Step 4: Handle IU limit warnings and overrides
If the estimated IU usage for the heaviest mode exceeds your remaining balance, review the warning shown, and if you are an organisation admin either enable the override or choose a lighter sync mode instead.

Step 5: Confirm and continue
When you are happy with your selection, confirm the chosen sync mode to move to the next step of the connection setup, or go back if you need to adjust earlier settings.
