Manage IU usage, budgets, and exports
Use the IU usage settings to review consumption, track project and employee usage, configure budget alerts, and export usage data for reporting.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open IU usage settings
In the application, go to "Settings" and then choose "Billing & plans" to open the IU usage settings page. If you access it from the billing dashboard, the same view may appear embedded without the header.

Step 2: Review your IU quota overview
At the top of the page, review the quota overview card to see your current IU allowance, how much has been used, remaining balance, and any alerts about nearing limits.

Step 3: Refresh usage and quota data
Use the refresh control (often shown with a circular arrow icon) to update quota and usage figures so that your overview and breakdowns reflect the latest activity.

Step 4: Select the usage period to analyse
Use the usage period selector to choose a date range, such as the current month, last month, or a custom period, so that all analytics and lists use the same timeframe.

Step 5: Apply usage filters
In the filters panel, refine the data by criteria such as project, team, user, or usage type so that the breakdowns only show the activity you care about.

Step 6: Explore overall IU usage breakdown
In the main usage breakdown section, view how usage is distributed across categories, such as different IU products or cost centres, using charts and expandable rows.

Step 7: Analyse project-level IU usage
Switch to the projects tab or section to see a list of projects with their IU consumption, associated costs, and trends, and expand a project to drill down into detailed activity.

Step 8: Analyse employee-level IU usage
Open the employees or users tab to review IU usage per person, grouped by team or role where available, and expand a user row to see their detailed usage records.

Step 9: Review project analytics, cost tracking, and ROI
In the analytics panels, review project analytics metrics, cost tracking information, and ROI reports to understand the commercial impact of IU usage across your organisation.

Step 10: Configure and monitor budget alerts
In the budget alerts area, review existing budget thresholds and toggle alerts on or off so that you receive notifications when IU usage or spend approaches configured limits.

Step 11: Top up IU quota when required
Use the top up control to purchase or request additional IU quota when the remaining balance is low, ensuring that projects and employees can continue to use IU features without interruption.

Step 12: Export IU usage data
Use the export option to download IU usage data for the selected period and filters, typically as a spreadsheet, so you can share it with finance, analyse externally, or archive it.
