Connect to Microsoft SharePoint CDE

Use the Connect CDE dialog to set up and save a secure connection to a Microsoft SharePoint Common Data Environment.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Connect CDE dialog

From your project settings, open the Connect CDE dialog and choose Microsoft SharePoint as the provider to start creating a new connection.

Step 2: Enter SharePoint tenant details

In the dialog, enter your SharePoint Tenant ID and the full Site address for the project you want to connect.

Step 3: Add application credentials

Provide the Client ID and Client Secret for the SharePoint application that has access to the chosen site, ensuring they match your organisation's configuration.

Step 4: Save the new SharePoint connection

Save the connection to create it; the system stores the credentials securely and activates the SharePoint CDE link for your organisation.

Step 5: Reopen the connection to edit settings

When needed, reopen the same SharePoint connection from settings to review or adjust the existing tenant, site, or credential details.

Step 6: Update and resave the connection

After editing the fields, save again so that only the existing connection is updated rather than creating a new one, keeping your configuration consistent.
