Monitor IU usage, costs and budgets
Use the IU Usage Settings page to track consumption, review project and employee usage, manage budget alerts and export detailed usage data.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open IU usage settings
In the application, go to "Settings" and then select "Billing & plans" to open the IU Usage Settings area for monitoring usage and budgets.

Step 2: Review overall IU quota and status
At the top of the page, review the quota overview to see your current IU allowance, how much has been used, and any alerts about approaching or exceeded limits.

Step 3: Adjust the usage period
Use the usage period selector to choose the date range you want to analyse, such as the current billing cycle, a specific month, or a custom period.

Step 4: Apply usage filters
Use the filters panel to narrow down usage by attributes such as project, team, user or activity type so you can focus on the data that matters most.

Step 5: Explore detailed breakdowns
In the usage breakdown section, expand the available panels to see IU consumption grouped by category, with totals and trends for the selected period and filters.

Step 6: Analyse project-level usage
Switch to the projects view to see a list of projects with their IU usage, allowing you to identify which initiatives are consuming the most capacity.

Step 7: Analyse employee-level usage
Open the employees view to see IU consumption by individual user, so you can understand adoption, spot outliers and support targeted coaching or controls.

Step 8: Configure scoped budgets and alerts
In the scoped budgets panel, review or update budget thresholds and alerts for specific projects or teams to keep spending within agreed limits.

Step 9: Refresh usage and quota data
Use the refresh controls to pull the latest quota status and usage records from the server, ensuring that your view reflects the most recent activity.

Step 10: Top up IU quota if available
If your plan allows, use the top-up action to purchase additional IU capacity when your organisation is close to hitting its quota.

Step 11: Export usage data for reporting
Use the export option to download the current view of IU usage as a spreadsheet so you can share it with stakeholders or combine it with other reports.
