Add a new project with a valid name

Ensure every new project you create has a clear, valid name so it can be saved and managed correctly.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Add Project dialog

Open the Add Project modal from the settings or projects area so you can enter details for a new project.

Step 2: Enter a meaningful project name

In the Project Name field, type a clear, descriptive name for your new project. Avoid leaving it blank or using only spaces.

Step 3: Review additional project details

Choose any required options, such as selecting the project type (for example, Subcontractor), and confirm the rest of the form details before creating the project.

Step 4: Understand what happens if the name is missing

If you click Create Project without a valid name, the form stays open, the Project Name field is marked as invalid, an error message is shown, and the cursor is moved to the Project Name field so you can correct it.

Step 5: Correct the name to clear the error

Start typing a proper project name in the Project Name field. As soon as a valid name is entered, the error message disappears and the field is no longer marked as invalid.

Step 6: Create the project

When the Project Name is valid and the rest of the form is complete, select Create Project to finish adding the project.
