Configure content blocks for a public page

Configure the sequence and settings of content blocks that make up a public page, including instructions, document downloads, uploads, forms and banners.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the content blocks step

In the public page creation wizard, navigate to the step labelled "Content blocks" to view the existing blocks configured for this page.

Step 2: Review existing content blocks

Scroll through the list of blocks to see each block's type, title and configuration, using the vertical grip icon to understand their current order on the page.

Step 3: Add a new content block

Use the block type dropdown or add button to choose the kind of block you want to insert, such as instructions, document download, file upload, free text, form fields, info banner or verification.

Step 4: Configure the new block

Adjust the block's title, description and settings, for example selecting documents to download, allowed upload file types, the number of files, placeholder text or banner variant.

Step 5: Manage form fields within a form block

For "Form fields" blocks, define one or more input fields, choosing the appropriate field type and labels so that respondents provide the information you need.

Step 6: Control required fields

Toggle the required setting on blocks or fields where responses are mandatory, ensuring participants cannot submit without completing critical information.

Step 7: Reorder content blocks

Drag blocks using the grip icon, or use the up and down arrows, to change the sequence in which they appear on the public page.

Step 8: Remove unwanted content blocks

Use the bin icon to delete any blocks you no longer need, keeping the public page focused and relevant.

In document download blocks, pick the documents that visitors will be able to download, ensuring the page-level download allowlist stays in sync.

Step 10: Finalise the content layout

Review the full list of blocks, checking titles, configurations and order before moving to the next step of the public page wizard.
