Use RAMS guidance and add tailored notes
View standard RAMS guidance and add tailored notes for subcontractors directly within the RAMS instructions.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the RAMS guidance
On the RAMS instructions screen, select the button labelled "What should a good RAMS include?" to open the guidance popover.

Step 2: Review the standard RAMS guidance
Read through the standard guidance text under headings such as "What we look for in your RAMS", "The basics — who, what, where", and "What gets a RAMS bounced back".

Step 3: Start editing or adding notes
In the guidance popover, select the "Edit / add notes" button to open the editable notes area for your subcontractor guidance.

Step 4: Use the default guidance when you have no existing notes
If you have not yet added any RAMS guidance, the editor automatically fills with the standard guidance text so you can adapt it for your subcontractor.

Step 5: Edit your existing RAMS guidance
If you already have RAMS guidance saved, the editor shows your current text so you can review and update it as needed.

Step 6: Save your updated guidance
After updating the notes, save your changes so the revised guidance is stored with the RAMS instructions and visible next time you open the control.
