Preview document download blocks on a public page

Review how document download blocks will appear on the public page, including how each file name is displayed to end users.

Steps

Step 1: Open the public page detail preview

Navigate to the public page’s internal detail view and open the preview area that shows all configured content blocks, including any document download sections.

Step 2: Locate the document download block

Scroll through the blocks in the preview until you find the document download block, typically labelled with its section title such as "Reference Documents".

Step 3: Confirm stored document titles are shown

In the document download block, check that each file is shown using its stored human-readable title, such as "Method Statement.pdf", rather than a technical ID.

Step 4: Check legacy documents display correctly

For any older or legacy documents without stored titles, verify that their identifiers are still displayed so that users can access the downloads even when a friendly title is not available.
