Record a specialist examination certificate
Record or replace a LOLER or other statutory specialist examination certificate so the plant schedule and status stay up to date.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Record specialist check dialog
Open the plant item, then choose the option to record a specialist check so the Record specialist check dialog appears.

Step 2: Review whether you are recording or replacing a certificate
Check the dialog heading and context to confirm if you are recording a new certificate or replacing an existing one; existing details may be pre-filled when replacing.

Step 3: Enter the new certificate expiry date
Type the new certificate expiry date in the expiry field; this will re-anchor the schedule and clear any due-soon or lapsed status.

Step 4: Add the certificate number (optional)
If available, enter the certificate number so the team can trace the underlying examination record.

Step 5: Link the certificate document (optional)
Attach or select the stored certificate document so the PDF or scan is linked to the plant record.

Step 6: Submit the specialist check
Select the option to save or record the specialist check; the system updates the schedule and removes any must-not-use flag for that item of plant.

Step 7: Review confirmation and updated plant status
After the dialog closes, review the plant checks view to confirm the next-due date and status now reflect the new certificate.
