Manage plant check kinds and tiers

Configure and understand the different kinds of safety and compliance checks applied to each plant item, including their tiers, cadence and ownership.

Step 1: Review available plant check kinds​

Open the plant administration area and locate the multi-check panel to see the list of available check kinds, such as Daily pre-use, LOLER thorough examination and PUWER periodic inspections.

Step 2: Understand check tiers and responsibilities​

For each check kind, review whether it is a Tier 1 (daily / operative) or Tier 2 (annual specialist) check, along with the responsible role shown in the panel so you can assign ownership appropriately.

View the default cadence summary and due-soon warning window for each check kind so you can confirm that the scheduling assumptions align with your project and compliance requirements.

When setting up or reviewing plant, refer to the recommended categories for each check kind to ensure that relevant equipment has the appropriate checks configured.

Step 5: Monitor status bands across all check kinds​

On the plant panel, use the status colours (green, due soon, overdue, defect, paused, unknown) to quickly identify which checks are compliant, approaching deadlines, or need immediate attention.
