Manage plant safety checks for a machine
Configure and monitor scheduled safety checks for a specific plant item, including enabling, disabling and retiring checks.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the plant checks panel for a machine
Navigate to the plant item (for example, "14m Telehandler" with reference "PLT-001") and open the Plant Checks panel to see all scheduled checks linked to that machine.

Step 2: Review existing scheduled checks
Review the list of existing checks, including their frequency (such as daily pre-use), cadence summary, next due date, last completed time, status colour (green, amber or red) and the number of open defects.

Step 3: Enable or disable an existing check
Use the controls on each listed check to enable or disable it, for example if a check is temporarily not required; the panel updates to show the new active status.

Step 4: Retire a check that is no longer needed
Select the option to retire a check that should no longer run for this plant item so it is removed from the active schedule while keeping its history available elsewhere.

Step 5: Create a new scheduled check
Use the add or create option to set up a new check by choosing the check type, frequency, time of day and responsible role; once saved, the new check appears in the list with its next due date.

Step 6: Apply changes in bulk to multiple checks
Use the bulk apply function to update settings for several checks at once, such as notifications or timing, reducing manual updates and keeping schedules consistent.

Step 7: Confirm notifications and escalation settings
Review the notification rules on each check, including who is notified on defects or overdue checks and how amber and red time thresholds are applied.
