Manage project notification preferences
Adjust how you receive notifications for a specific project, including muting all alerts or customising channels for each notification type.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the project notification settings
Navigate to the project’s settings area and open the Notifications section to view the list of notification categories and channels for this project.
Step 2: Mute or unmute all notifications for this project
Use the main mute toggle or mute button (often labelled with a bell or mute icon) to temporarily mute all notifications for this project, or switch it off again to resume receiving notifications.
Step 3: Review effective notification preferences
For each notification category displayed, review the effective preference, including whether it is currently enabled for this project and which channels (email, browser, mobile) are active.
Step 4: Override notification channels for a specific type
For a particular notification type, toggle the email, browser, or mobile switches to turn that channel on or off for this project; your changes override the global notification settings for that type.
Step 5: Reset a notification type back to global settings
If you have overridden a notification type, use the reset or remove override control (typically indicated by a reset icon or “Reset to global” text) to revert that type to your global notification preferences.
Step 6: Reset all project notifications to global defaults
Use the “Reset all” control to remove all overrides for this project at once, so every notification type follows your global notification settings again.
Step 7: Refresh and confirm your changes
If needed, use the refresh control to reload the notification preferences and confirm that your mute, override, or reset actions have been applied successfully.
