Add a new project using templates and licences
Create a new project, optionally link it to a licence, and choose a framework template or start without one, all from a single modal window.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Add project modal
Trigger the Add project action in the application to open the modal where you can define the new project’s details.
Step 2: Enter basic project details
Fill in the project name, start date, end date and (optionally) the project value in the provided fields so the system can register the core information for the new project.
Step 3: Select or create a licence
Choose an existing licence from the licence list to associate it with the project, or indicate that you want to create a trial licence if that option is available, so the project is correctly licensed from the start.
Step 4: Choose a framework or start without one
Use the framework selection dropdown to pick a framework template whose defaults will preconfigure your project, or select the option to proceed without a framework if you prefer to configure everything manually.
Step 5: Refresh framework templates if needed
If the list of frameworks seems out of date or incomplete, use the refresh option to reload the available framework templates from the server before making your choice.
Step 6: Preview framework details (if supported)
When you choose a framework, allow the application a moment to load and apply the framework’s detailed defaults so you can base the project setup on those predefined settings.
Step 7: Confirm and create the project
Click the create button to submit your project details, licence choice and framework selection so the system can create and store the new project.
Step 8: Optionally skip project setup
If skipping is allowed, use the Skip for now option to close the modal without creating a project and return to your previous view.
Step 9: Cancel without saving
Use the cancel control to close the modal and discard any changes if you decide not to proceed with project creation.
