Edit geometry overlays on plan images

Adjust and refine geometry overlays on an image so quantities align accurately with your material schedule.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the geometry overlay editor

Navigate to the plan or item view where the image is shown with its geometry overlay; the editor appears over the image when geometry display is enabled.

Open the geometry overlay editor

Step 2: Select the material schedule item to edit

Click the relevant material schedule item in the list to make it active; its associated geometry is highlighted on the image.

Step 4: Drag points to adjust geometry

Click and drag any visible point to a new position on the image; the geometry updates immediately so it aligns with the real-world location.

Step 5: Add a new point between existing points

Use the add-point control (Plus icon) while a point or edge is selected to insert a new point midway between two existing points, allowing finer shaping of the geometry.

Step 6: Remove an unnecessary point

Use the remove-point control (Minus icon) when a point is selected to delete it, as long as the geometry keeps the minimum required number of points.
