View task statuses on the programme Gantt chart
Use the programme Gantt chart to see task timelines, today’s position, and status such as Overdue, Complete, and Not started at a glance.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the programme Gantt chart
Navigate to your chosen project and open the programme view to display the Gantt chart with all scheduled tasks.

Step 2: Locate the Today marker on the timeline
Look along the chart timeline for the vertical Today marker, which shows exactly where today falls across all task bars.

Step 3: Review task bars and their derived statuses
Scan each task row to see its coloured bar and derived status label, such as Overdue, Complete, or Not started, based on dates and progress.

Step 4: Identify overdue work
Find any tasks whose planned end date has passed but are not complete; these bars will be highlighted with an Overdue status instead of their original planned status.

Step 5: Confirm completed and not-started activities
Check tasks marked as Complete when 100% finished and with end dates in the past, and tasks marked as Not started when they have future start dates and 0% progress.
