Open a programme task from the Gantt chart

Use a shareable URL to open the programme task detail panel directly from the project Gantt view, so you can review and discuss specific activities.

Audience

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps​

Step 1: Open the project programme view​

From your project, open the Programme or Gantt view so you can see the timeline of activities for the selected project.

Step 2: Open a task detail panel​

Select a task in the Gantt chart or a linked programme chip to open its detail panel alongside the Gantt, showing key information about that activity.

Step 3: Copy the task-specific URL​

Once the panel is open, copy the page URL in your browser address bar, which now includes the task identifier so it can be shared or saved.

Paste or open the copied URL in your browser; the page loads the project programme view and automatically opens the same task detail panel.

Step 5: Close the task panel using browser Back​

Use your browser Back button to close the task detail panel and return to the unfiltered Gantt view without losing your place in the project.
