Use AI assist to create your first programme
Use the AI assist panel to generate an initial programme when your project has no existing tasks, or fall back to manual planning when AI is unavailable.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Programme page
Navigate to the Programme view for your project; if there are no existing tasks, you will see an empty-state message for the Riverside project with options to start planning.

Step 2: Review AI assist availability
Check the empty-state panel to see whether AI-assisted programme creation is offered, only manual planning is available, or your AI usage quota has been exhausted.

Step 3: Launch AI-assisted programme creation
When AI assist is available, select the option to start AI-assisted planning, which opens an agent task modal to configure and run the automated programme generation.

Step 4: Complete the AI task
In the agent task modal, confirm the task details, monitor progress and wait for completion so that the system can generate a draft programme based on your project.

Step 5: Refresh the Programme view
After the AI task completes, use the refresh option in the empty-state panel to load the newly generated tasks into the Gantt and list views.

Step 6: Use manual planning when AI is unavailable
If AI assist is not offered for your project, follow the manual-only guidance in the empty-state panel to start adding tasks directly to the programme.

Step 7: Respond to quota-exhausted messaging
When your AI quota is exhausted, review the demotion message in the empty state and continue with manual planning while you arrange for additional AI usage.

Step 8: Clear filters when programme appears empty
If the programme looks empty because filters are applied, use the "clear filters" control in the empty-state message to restore the full Gantt and list views.
