Manage an empty programme using AI assist

Use AI assist or manual options to create tasks when your programme has no activities.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Programme page for your project

Navigate to the Programme view for your project to see the empty-state message when no tasks are scheduled.

Step 2: Review the AI assist panel

Check the AI assist area in the empty-state view to see how it can generate an initial programme for your project.

Step 3: Launch AI assist to generate tasks

Start the AI assist modal from the empty-state panel to request an automatically generated programme.

Step 4: Confirm generation and refresh the programme

Once AI assist completes, refresh the programme to load the newly created tasks into the Gantt and list views.

Step 5: Use manual planning when AI assist is unavailable

If AI assist is not available, use the manual planning options shown in the empty-state view to start adding tasks yourself.

Step 6: Understand quota exhausted behaviour

When AI usage quota is exhausted, review the downgraded empty-state message and follow the suggested manual planning workflow instead.

Step 7: Clear filters when no tasks match

If filters hide all tasks, use the clear-filters option in the empty-state message so that eligible tasks appear again in the programme.
