View task statuses on the Gantt chart
Use the Gantt chart to see which tasks are overdue, complete or not yet started, based on their dates and progress.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the project Gantt chart
Navigate to your project’s Gantt chart view to see all scheduled tasks displayed on a timeline, including a vertical marker for today’s date.

Step 2: Locate the "Today" marker on the timeline
Find the "Today" marker on the chart to understand where the current date sits in relation to each task’s start and end dates.

Step 3: Identify overdue tasks
Look along the task rows for bars that extend to dates before today and are labelled "Overdue", showing work that should have finished but is still incomplete.

Step 4: Identify tasks that are complete
Check the Gantt bars labelled "Complete" to confirm which tasks have finished, using their placement on the timeline to see when they were delivered.

Step 5: Identify tasks that are not started
Find tasks labelled "Not started" to see work scheduled for future dates where no progress has yet been recorded.
