View and explore the programme Gantt chart
Use the interactive Gantt chart to review programme timelines, phases, task status and dependencies for a project.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the programme Gantt chart for your project
Navigate to the programme area for the selected project to display the Gantt chart, showing all scheduled tasks in a timeline view.

Step 2: Adjust the zoom level to change the timeline scale
Use the Gantt toolbar zoom controls (week, month, quarter, year) to change how much of the schedule is visible and how detailed the timeline appears.

Step 3: Move the visible date range
Use the navigation controls, including the option to jump to today, to shift the chart left or right and focus on past, current or future periods.

Step 4: Group tasks by phase and manage collapsed phases
Toggle the phase grouping option to organise tasks under their programme phases, and collapse or expand individual phases to hide or show their task rows.

Step 5: Filter tasks by status, priority and critical path
Apply filters to show only tasks with specific statuses or priorities, and optionally limit the view to critical-path or slipped tasks to focus on key risks.

Step 6: Inspect task details and float
Hover over or select individual task bars to see their dates, phase colour, and any float information, helping you understand schedule flexibility.

Step 7: Review task dependencies
Toggle dependency arrows on or off to visualise how tasks are linked, making it easier to see predecessor and successor relationships in the schedule.

Step 8: Export the Gantt chart
Use the export option in the toolbar to generate an external copy of the current Gantt view for reporting or sharing with stakeholders.
