View and explore the programme Gantt chart
Use the interactive Gantt chart to review programme timelines, task groupings and dependencies for a selected project.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the programme Gantt chart
Navigate to the programme area of your project to open the Gantt chart view, where all scheduled tasks are displayed on a timeline.

Step 2: Review tasks on the timeline
Scroll horizontally and vertically in the chart area to see how tasks are scheduled over time, including their start and end dates.

Step 3: Change the time zoom level
Use the toolbar zoom controls to switch between week, month, quarter and year views, adjusting how much of the timeline is visible on screen.

Step 4: Jump to today on the chart
Select the "Today" option in the toolbar to centre the timeline around the current date and quickly find where you are in the programme.

Step 5: Group tasks by phase
Toggle the group-by-phase option in the toolbar to cluster tasks into coloured phase sections with headers that reflect each programme phase.

Step 6: Expand or collapse phases
Use the controls on each phase header to collapse or expand that phase, hiding or revealing the underlying tasks to simplify the view.

Step 7: View task dependencies
Turn dependency arrows on or off in the toolbar to show or hide the lines that connect tasks and indicate their sequencing.

Step 8: Inspect task details
Hover over a task bar to highlight it on the chart and see its context alongside related tasks, phases and dependencies.

Step 9: Open a task from the Gantt chart
Click a task bar to open its detailed view in the application, where you can review or update the task information.

Step 10: Export the Gantt view
Use the export option in the toolbar to generate an external copy of the Gantt chart that you can share with stakeholders.
