Manage programme tasks and schedule

Use the Programme page to review, filter and manage your project schedule in either a Gantt chart or task list view.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Programme page

Navigate to the Programme section for your selected project to see the current schedule in Gantt or list view, depending on your screen size and last choice.

Step 2: Switch between Gantt and list views

Use the view toggle to switch between the visual Gantt chart and the detailed task list, choosing the layout that best suits your current review or planning work.

Step 3: Filter and search programme tasks

Apply filters for status, priority, phase, critical-path-only or slipped-only, and use the search box to quickly focus on the tasks that matter to you.

Step 4: Review task details and statistics

Select a task to open the details panel, where you can review dates, dependencies, phase information and see overall programme statistics such as counts by status or phase.

Step 5: Create a new programme task

Click the add task button to open the create task dialog, then enter the key information so the task appears in the Gantt chart and list once saved.

Step 6: Edit an existing programme task

Choose a task and select the edit option to open the edit dialog, where you can update dates, dependencies, phase, status or other details, and apply your changes to the schedule.

Step 7: Mark a task as completed

From the task list or details panel, choose the complete option to open the completion dialog, confirm any required information, and mark the task as done.

Step 8: Import programme tasks

Open the import dialogue from the toolbar (or use a link with ?import=true) to upload programme data from an external file and add or update tasks in the schedule.

Step 9: Export programme tasks

Use the export option in the toolbar to download the current set of programme tasks, including dates and phases, for reporting or offline analysis.

Step 10: Track phases, critical path and slippage

Refer to the phase legend to understand colour-coding, and enable critical-path-only or slipped-only filters to focus on tasks that drive completion dates or are running late.

Step 11: Remove a task from the programme

Select a task and choose the delete option to remove it from both the Gantt chart and list, confirming the deletion when prompted.
