Use global search to find anything in your project

Use the global search modal to quickly find documents, tasks, people, meetings, RFIs and other records across your projects, then jump straight to the right page.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the global search modal

Press the keyboard shortcut or click the search icon in the header to open the global search modal, which appears centred on your screen.

Step 2: Enter your search query

Start typing in the search box; matching documents, tasks, projects, people and other items begin appearing below in real time as you type.

Step 3: Limit results to specific types

Use the filter controls to include or exclude result types such as Documents, Tasks, People, RFIs, Meetings or Form Submissions so the list only shows what you need.

Step 4: Adjust search scope

Switch the scope to search within the current project or across all projects, depending on whether you are looking for something specific to one project or organisation-wide.

Step 5: Review result details

Scan each result card to see its type, title, key details, and highlighted text snippets showing where your search terms were found.

Step 6: Open a result

Click a result card to navigate directly to the relevant page, such as a document view, task details, project dashboard or stakeholder list.

Step 7: Close the search modal

When you are finished, close the modal by pressing Escape, clicking the close icon, or clicking outside the modal.
