Search across project content
Use the search modal to quickly find documents and other items within your current project.
This guide is designed for project manager.
Steps
Step 1: Open the search modal
Use the global search shortcut or button in the header to open the search modal, which appears centred on the screen over your current project view.

Step 2: Confirm you are searching in the right project
Check the project name or identifier displayed in the modal header so you know your search is limited to the correct project context.

Step 3: Enter your search query
Type a few characters or keywords into the search input; the modal will start searching automatically and show a loading state while results are being prepared.

Step 4: Refine scope and filters
Adjust any available search scope options, such as limiting results to documents or other entity types, to narrow down what is shown.

Step 5: Review search suggestions and results
Look through the streaming list of matched items; as more results load, the list will update without closing the modal.

Step 6: Inspect result details
For each result, review the title and any contextual details shown so you can confirm it is the item you need before opening it.

Step 7: Open an item from search
Click a result row to open the corresponding document or package detail page in the main application, leaving the modal view.

Step 8: Retry or adjust your search
If no useful results appear, use the retry or clear controls to refresh the search, then update your keywords or filters to try again.

Step 9: Close the search modal
When you are finished, close the modal using the close button or keyboard shortcut to return to your normal project view.
