Search across your project

Use the global search modal to quickly find documents, tasks, people and other items across your current project or all projects.

This guide is designed for project manager.

Steps

Step 1: Open the search modal

Press the keyboard shortcut or click the search icon in the header to open the search modal, which appears centred over your current page.

Step 2: Enter your search query

Type a keyword, phrase or reference number into the search box; matching results begin streaming in as you type.

Step 3: Filter by item type

Use the Filters menu to limit results to specific item types such as Documents, Tasks, RFIs, Meetings or People, so you only see the most relevant matches.

Step 4: Choose project scope

Select whether to search within the current project or across all projects, adjusting the scope to widen or narrow your results.

Step 5: Review result details

Scan each result card to see the item type, title, key metadata and highlighted text snippets showing where your query matched.

If results look incomplete or the stream pauses unexpectedly, use the retry action and refine your keywords or filters to improve the match.

Step 7: Open an item from the results

Click a result to navigate directly to the relevant document, task, RFI, meeting or other item in its full context within the project.

Step 8: Close the search modal

Click the close icon, press Escape, or click outside the modal to dismiss it and return to your previous view.
